Bitcoin ETF Inflow Streak Ends as BTC Price Dips Below $78K
Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) in the US have seen their nine-day streak of inflows come to an end. This week, net outflows from these funds reached $201.8 million on Friday. The reversal followed a period where over $3 billion had flowed into Bitcoin ETFs since August 14.
The ARK 21Shares Bitcoin ETF led the outflows with $114.9 million in net withdrawals. Bitwise's Bitcoin ETF was second, recording $49.7 million in losses. BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF, however, saw smaller outflows of $33.4 million.
Not all Bitcoin-related funds have seen red numbers, though. Morgan Stanley's Bitcoin Trust recorded inflows of $9.3 million on Friday. In contrast, Ether and XRP funds continued to attract new money, adding $102.2 million and $26.2 million respectively over the same period.
The Solana ETF category has also seen significant growth in recent times. Bloomberg's Eric Balchunas noted that these funds have now attracted a cumulative total of $1.7 billion without any sustained stretches of outflows. Bitwise's Solana ETF was particularly notable, becoming the first fund in its category to reach over $1 billion in assets.
