Bitcoin ETF Inflows Falter as BTC Nears Record High
Bitcoin (BTC) continued its upward trajectory, nearing $82,000 but still facing uncertainty about whether Bitcoin ETF inflows can keep pace. Despite a lackluster week for spot BTC exchange-traded funds (ETFs), which saw only a $6.21 million net inflow for the week ending September 18, BlackRock's IBIT led the category with $121 million in inflows.
Meanwhile, spot Ether (ETH) ETFs moved in the opposite direction, shedding a substantial $140 million and ending a four-week streak of net inflows. Bitcoin traded near $81,536 as a new week began, up 1.44% on the day.
The setback left Ether's price under pressure, but Bitcoin managed to keep its inflow streak alive by a narrow margin, with only $6.21 million separating a positive week from a losing one, the smallest margin in 141 weeks of ETF trading.
