Bitcoin ETF Inflows Fuel Price Surge Above $81,000
Bitcoin's price surge above $81,000 has been bolstered by significant inflows into its exchange-traded funds (ETFs). The ETFs attracted a total of $593 million over Thursday and Friday, reversing earlier outflows and contributing to the cryptocurrency's recent gain. This influx of capital helped Bitcoin regain its footing, pushing its price up more than 6% on Friday.
According to data, the ETFs saw net inflows of just $6 million for the week, despite the substantial increase in investment over the last two days. However, this was enough to propel Bitcoin's price upward, with the cryptocurrency eventually reaching as high as $82,078 in Singapore on Monday.
The ETFs' performance is a significant development for Bitcoin investors, as it indicates a renewed interest in the cryptocurrency and its underlying technology. While some may view this as a positive sign, others may be cautious given the volatility of the market.
