Bitcoin ETF Inflows Soar to $433M as Price Tests Major Resistance Wall
Bitcoin's price has surged above $81,000 after institutional demand returned in the form of significant inflows into exchange-traded funds (ETFs). The total inflow for U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs reached $433.03 million on September 18.
Fidelity's FBTC led the session with $310.72 million, while BlackRock's IBIT drew $108.44 million. This marks a rebound from mid-week outflows, which saw a combined withdrawal of $746.3 million.
The current price of Bitcoin is near the resistance band identified by Glassnode through cost-basis and derivatives data, ranging between $83,000 and $86,000. Fidelity's FBTC passively tracks Bitcoin, holding it directly, while BlackRock's IBIT seeks to reflect its price through an exchange-traded product.
While one positive session does not establish a sustained allocation trend, the latest inflow session shows renewed demand after two heavy withdrawal days. The next U.S. trading session falls on September 21, which will provide insight into whether Bitcoin can close above $83,000 and break through the resistance band.
