Bitcoin ETF Inflows Surge as Price Recovers
U.S.-listed spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) have seen a significant turnaround in recent weeks. According to data from SoSoValue, these ETFs now hold nearly $800 million in net inflows for the year, up from a low point of a $5.8 billion deficit on July 13.
This change aligns with Bitcoin's price recovery to over $85,000 from under $58,000 in early June. The price rise and ETF inflows have led some analysts to believe that a new bull run is underway.
Notably, nearly $4 billion of the recent inflows came after U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent's announcement of increased bond purchases in August, which was aimed at managing liquidity due to high bond yields.
