Bitcoin ETF Outflows Deepen Ahead of Fed Decision
US spot Bitcoin ETFs experienced a net outflow of $450.4 million on September 15, erasing the previous session's $159.9 million inflow.
This reversal removed the brief demand signal that appeared as the Federal Reserve began its two-day policy meeting.
Seller dominance was evident in Glassnode's Week 38 report, which showed spot cumulative volume delta at negative $142 million, below its lower statistical band of negative $115 million. Derivatives sellers were also active, with perpetual cumulative volume delta dropping to negative $605 million, far below its lower band of negative $233 million.
Despite the pressure, futures open interest remained elevated, sitting above its upper band at $36.4 billion. Long-side funding payments rose to $1.4 million, within their normal statistical range.
