Bitcoin ETFs Absorb Record $1 Billion Inflow Amid Price Surge
Bitcoin ETFs witnessed their largest inflow day in nearly two years on September 21, as they absorbed approximately 11,530 BTC. This was also the second-largest one-day net intake for these funds since November 11, 2024, when they added around 12,560 BTC. The inflows were valued at almost $1 billion, marking their strongest daily total this year.
The majority of the inflow came from three large funds: BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) with $381.4 million, ARK 21Shares Bitcoin ETF (ARKB) with $289.1 million, and Fidelity's Wise Origin Bitcoin Fund (FBTC) with $238.8 million.
The unusual inflow pattern over the past few weeks has been viewed as a positive signal by Bloomberg Intelligence ETF analyst Eric Balchunas, who argues that irregular days better reflect dispersed investor activity than allocations driven by a single large model or institution.
