Bitcoin ETFs Add $626 Million in Net Inflows as BlackRock Leads Charge
Bitcoin ETFs have rebounded in August, attracting $626 million in net inflows over the first three trading days of the month. This comes after a brutal July for the category, which saw net outflows hit $265.4 million on July 31.
The rebound is led by BlackRock's IBIT, which added $479 million to its cumulative net inflows and accounted for the majority of the daily totals on August 3 and 5. Fidelity's FBTC was also a top performer, adding $33.4 million on August 3 and $19.58 million on August 4.
The Fear and Greed Index remains in extreme fear territory at 25, but the influx of funds into Bitcoin ETFs may indicate that investors are becoming more optimistic about the cryptocurrency's prospects. However, it is unclear whether this marks a genuine reversal or just a brief technical bounce.
