Bitcoin ETFs Attract $3B in Institutional Buying as Market Sees Uptick
US spot Bitcoin ETFs have seen a surge in purchases over the past nine days, totaling $3 billion. This influx of capital marks the most aggressive stretch of institutional buying since the post-launch euphoria faded and is a significant reversal for the category.
The week ending September 25 was the standout period, with roughly $2.4 billion flowing into spot Bitcoin ETFs. The single best day was September 21, when nearly $999 million entered the market.
BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) led the charge, pulling in approximately $1.2 billion for that week alone. Fidelity's FBTC followed with around $702 million, and ARK 21Shares' ARKB brought in roughly $295 million. These three products accounted for more than 90% of the capital entering the space.
Bitcoin's spot price stabilized during this period, ticking up slightly on a week-over-week basis. The category has now accumulated over $57 billion in cumulative net inflows since its launch in January 2024 and boasts total assets under management exceeding $108 billion by late September.
