Bitcoin ETFs Attract Record $2.3 Billion in Four Days
Bitcoin ETFs attracted an impressive $2.3 billion in just four trading days through September 22, marking a significant turnaround after a brutal first half of the year.
This influx pushed Bitcoin ETFs into the green for the year, with a positive balance of about $320 million after significant withdrawals earlier this year.
The surge occurred on September 17, 18, 21, and 22, coinciding with Bitcoin's rise above $86,000. During this period, the funds purchased over 26,000 Bitcoins with newly added capital.
While some of these inflows come from hedge funds engaging in basis trading, which can be difficult to distinguish from long-term investments, most are genuine buying interest from large investors.
The recent inflow marks a crucial turnaround that started on August 19. In August alone, the funds took in a remarkable $3.5 billion, their best month since September 2025. Total inflows from August 19 through the end of the recent streak total about $4.6 billion.
However, despite this positive momentum, large investors may reassess their holdings at the start of a new quarter. This means October's inflows could reveal whether investment committees have added Bitcoin to their portfolios or are choosing to hold off for now.
