Bitcoin ETFs Draw Nearly $1 Billion as Altcoin Funds Slump
Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) in the US saw significant inflows last week, totaling $986.9 million as of September 4, 2026. However, this trend is not uniform across all cryptocurrencies, with Ethereum, Solana, XRP, and Hyperliquid ETFs experiencing a sharp decline in inflows by up to 96%.
This contrasted with the previous week, where altcoin funds saw substantial gains. The current slowdown suggests reduced buying interest rather than capital withdrawal, as trading volumes have also cooled across these assets. Despite this shift, prices remained relatively stable, with Bitcoin gaining 2.58%, and other major cryptocurrencies showing modest increases.
Market attention is now focused on the upcoming August inflation report, which could influence future ETF flows and crypto prices.
