Bitcoin ETFs Flood with $999M as Price Jumps 7% in One Day
Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs saw significant inflows on Monday, with Bitcoin's U.S. spot ETFs pulling in $998.95 million, their largest single-day inflow in 11 months. This marks the biggest day since October 6, 2025, when inflows hit $1.2 billion.
According to SoSoValue data, BlackRock's IBIT led the inflows with $381.4 million, followed by Ark & 21Shares' ARKB at $289.1 million and Fidelity's FBTC at $238.8 million. Grayscale, Bitwise, and Morgan Stanley funds also logged positive flows.
CryptoQuant broke down the mechanics of the move, noting that ETF demand was only part of the story. Three forces stacked together to drive the price: fresh ETF demand, a short squeeze, and thin resistance. The short squeeze saw $345 million in Bitcoin shorts get liquidated on top of the demand.
As a result, Bitcoin's price surged from $81,146 to $86,600, a 7% move in one day. However, the Coinbase Premium Gap has turned negative, suggesting U.S. spot demand has already cooled since the initial surge.
