Bitcoin ETFs Flooded with $1.92 Billion as Price Surges Past $75K
US spot Bitcoin ETFs had their best week in nearly a year, pulling in $1.92 billion in net inflows for the week ending August 22. This is the largest stash in ten months and marks a significant turnaround from earlier this year when the funds experienced eight consecutive weeks of outflows.
The influx of capital coincides with Bitcoin's price surge, rising by roughly 25% over the same period to approach the $80,000 level. Five consecutive days of positive net inflows saw Monday opening at $297.6 million, followed by $189.3 million on Tuesday and Wednesday hitting $517.2 million.
BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) absorbed the lion's share of demand, capturing $503 million on its peak day, with Fidelity's FBTC, Bitwise's BITB, and ARK 21Shares' ARKB contributing significantly to the week's total inflows.
