Bitcoin ETFs Flooded with Nearly $1 Billion as Average Holder Returns to Profit
The U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs saw their largest daily inflow in nearly two years on Monday, totaling $998.95 million. This surge marks a stark reversal from last week's smallest weekly net inflow of $6.2 million across 141 weeks of trading.
BlackRock's IBIT drew in the most at $381.37 million, followed by Ark & 21Shares' ARKB with $289.12 million and Fidelity's FBTC with $238.84 million. Morgan Stanley's MSBT added $61.67 million and Bitwise's BITB contributed $21.56 million.
The inflow indicates that the average holder of a U.S. spot Bitcoin fund is now back in profit, as Bitcoin's rally pushed it above an estimated ETF cost basis of $81,722 per coin. Bloomberg Intelligence analyst Eric Balchunas noted that this marks the biggest single-day haul since October 2025.
David Wachsman, president of Hawkeye Digital, pointed out that holders sitting on losses often sell at the first chance to break even, which has hindered demand throughout this year. Now that the average buyer is in the green, it's clearer whether institutions want more Bitcoin exposure or were riding the last rally.
