Bitcoin's price surged above $81,000 as institutional investors continued to pour money into Bitcoin Exchange-Traded Funds (ETFs). On Thursday, a record-breaking $730.9 million flowed into these funds, with BlackRock's IBIT leading the charge at $454 million.

This influx of capital comes on the heels of Bitcoin's price hike from below $77,000 to nearly $82,200, its highest level since May 15. The funds have gained almost 6% across the board as total net assets surpassed $103 billion for the first time.

Ethereum ETFs also saw significant inflows, adding $141.4 million in a single session. BlackRock's ETHA led with roughly $72 million, while Fidelity's FETH contributed about $65 million.
