Bitcoin ETFs Post $463M Weekly Reversal as Ether ETFs See Inflows
Bitcoin spot exchange-traded funds (ETFs) saw their three-week inflow streak come to an end, posting net outflows of $462.7 million last week. This reversal follows a strong run, with the ETFs having seen $166.8 million in withdrawals on Monday and Tuesday of the holiday-shortened week.
The largest daily withdrawal since July was recorded on Thursday, with $282.7 million in net outflows from US spot Bitcoin ETFs. Friday's outflow slowed to $13.2 million but extended the negative streak to four trading days. The ARKB 21Shares Bitcoin ETF led weekly withdrawals with $234.2 million in net outflows, followed by Grayscale's Bitcoin Trust ETF with $129.1 million.
Despite this week's reversal, spot Bitcoin ETFs remain in positive flow territory for September, with about $307.3 million in net inflows through Friday. In contrast, US spot Ether ETFs recorded $196.9 million in net inflows over the same period. BlackRock's iShares Ethereum Trust ETF led Friday's inflows with $148.8 million, followed by 21Shares Core Ethereum ETF, which added $29.1 million.
The selling in Bitcoin ETFs may be a sign of investor caution, as the price of Bitcoin has struggled to reclaim the $80K level. However, it is essential for investors to conduct their own research and consider multiple factors before making any investment decisions.
