Bitcoin ETFs Pull in Nearly $1 Billion Amid Macro Tailwinds
The U.S. spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) saw their largest daily inflow in nearly a year, absorbing $998.95 million on Monday as Bitcoin briefly climbed past $87,000 before easing back.
BlackRock's IBIT dominated the day with $381.37 million in net inflows, followed by Ark Invest and 21Shares' ARKB at $289.12 million, while Fidelity's FBTC added $238.84 million. These three funds together accounted for more than 90% of the total.
The surge lifted cumulative net inflows for the category to roughly $56.23 billion, with total fund assets near $110.1 billion. Spot Ether ETFs also had their best day since Oct. 7, 2025, drawing $269.98 million, led by BlackRock's ETHA at about $110.1 million and Fidelity's FETH at roughly $73 million.
Analysts pointed to a confluence of factors rather than a single catalyst for the move. Min Jung attributed the move to broader risk appetite, ETF demand, and short covering. Jeff Mei said institutional investors were returning due to favorable macro conditions, citing falling oil prices, easing Treasury yields, and this week's meeting between the U.S. and Chinese presidents.
The technical backdrop also played a role, with CryptoQuant noting that spot demand worked in tandem with ETF inflows, and that there was little historical trading activity between $80,000 and $85,000, allowing Bitcoin to move through that zone quickly.
