Bitcoin ETFs Record First Monthly Inflow Since April
Bitcoin ETFs have seen their first monthly inflow since April, according to data from SoSoValue. In July, these US-based spot exchange-traded funds attracted $172.4 million, ending a two-month streak of outflows. The positive trend occurred despite a volatile end to the month, with a $265.4 million outflow on July 31 marking the largest daily withdrawal since the 13th.
The return to inflows reverses a trend of nearly $7 billion withdrawn from these instruments over the previous two months. June was particularly hard-hit, with a net outflow of $4.5 billion, the worst monthly performance since January 2024.
Funds remain negative year-to-date, with an accumulated outflow of approximately $5.29 billion. However, only three months, March, April, and July, have shown positive dynamics, collectively bringing in $3.46 billion. The total net assets of Bitcoin ETFs were valued at $76.29 billion at the end of July.
