Bitcoin ETFs Recover from Q1-Q2 Woes with $6.3B Q3 Inflow
Bitcoin ETFs saw a significant influx of funds in the third quarter of 2026, with a net $6.3 billion pouring in. This influx was largely needed to recover from the first half's estimated $5.4 billion in net outflows. The funds are now up $985 million for the year, a far cry from the $6.3 billion inflow in Q3.
September's figure was 25% lower than August's, and a $148.7 million outflow on September 30 ended a nine-day inflow streak worth $3.1 billion. The available data does not explain the reason behind the first-half outflows, whether it was rebalancing or taking profits near the January peak.
Since launching in January 2024, the spot funds have accumulated $57.6 billion. The September 30 redemptions reached Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana ETFs at the same time, with Bitcoin funds losing $148.7 million, Ethereum funds losing $59.6 million, and Solana funds losing $11.1 million.
