Bitcoin ETFs See $3 Billion Surge as Institutional Appetite Returns
US spot Bitcoin ETFs have seen significant inflows over the past nine days, totaling approximately $3 billion. This surge marks one of the most aggressive stretches of institutional buying since the post-launch euphoria faded in January 2024. The category had been sitting roughly $5.8 billion underwater at the midpoint of the year but has now clawed back to a modest positive.
The week ending September 25 was particularly noteworthy, with net inflows reaching around $2.4 billion. This is the largest weekly haul since October 2025, when Bitcoin's spot price reached its all-time high near $126,000. On September 21, nearly $999 million flowed into spot Bitcoin ETFs.
BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) led the way with approximately $1.2 billion in inflows for that week alone. Fidelity's FBTC followed closely with around $702 million, and ARK 21Shares' ARKB brought in roughly $295 million. These three products accounted for more than 90% of the capital entering the space.
The September rally marks a significant reversal from earlier this year, when cumulative 2026 net flows had sunk to around negative $5.8 billion. Bitcoin's spot price stabilized during the inflow streak, ticking up slightly on a week-over-week basis.
