Bitcoin ETFs See Record $1 Billion Inflow as BTC Surges Past $87,000
US spot bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) saw their largest daily inflow in 11 months, attracting nearly $1 billion on Monday. This influx of investment comes as bitcoin briefly surged above $87,000, a level not seen since January 2026.
The largest single-day amount the funds have attracted since October 6, 2025, was driven by BlackRock's IBIT, which led the inflows with $381.4 million. Other notable contributors included Ark & 21Shares' ARKB and Fidelity's FBTC, according to SoSoValue data.
Bitcoin itself traded up 4.7% over the past 24 hours at $85,400 as of Tuesday morning, after briefly reaching its highest level since January 2026 earlier on Monday. Ether (ETH) also gained 2.5% to $2,730.
Analysts attributed the price movement to a combination of factors, including renewed risk appetite and short covering activity. Min Jung from Presto Research noted that 'Monday's unusually large ETF inflows likely added momentum by signaling renewed institutional demand.'
