Bitcoin ETFs See Reversal with $89.8 Million Outflows
U.S. Spot Bitcoin ETFs experienced a shift on October 5, with net outflows totaling $89.8 million. This reversal followed significant inflows of $189.9 million just three days earlier. ARK 21Shares’ ARKB led the outflows with $85.2 million, while Fidelity’s FBTC saw $74.5 million in withdrawals. BlackRock’s IBIT stood out as the only major fund with inflows, attracting $69.9 million.
The five-day ETF flows remained positive at approximately $120 million, despite the latest outflows. This came after a strong September for the market, where U.S. Spot Bitcoin ETFs collected $2.65 billion, marking their second-largest monthly inflow since October 2025.
Bitcoin’s price reacted modestly to the outflows, trading near $86,010 on October 6. The asset had earlier peaked at around $86,970 before dropping to roughly $84,977. Factors like a stronger U.S. dollar, higher Treasury yields, and geopolitical uncertainty contributed to the pressure on Bitcoin’s momentum.
Market participants are closely monitoring the next ETF sessions, as continued outflows could add selling pressure. A return to net inflows would indicate that the October 5 reversal was limited. Institutional demand remains a key focus as the market navigates uncertain macroeconomic conditions.
