Bitcoin ETFs Snap Outflow Streak, Pull In $487M in Net Inflows
The Bitcoin ETF market has experienced a significant turnaround in recent days, with net inflows of $487 million over two consecutive trading sessions in early July. This marks an end to a 10-day outflow streak that saw around $2.7 billion leave the funds.
The turnaround started on July 2, when BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) and Fidelity's Wise Origin Bitcoin Fund (FBTC) pulled in $221.7 million, breaking the bleeding. These two funds have consistently dominated flow activity since their launch in early 2024, accounting for the lion's share of both inflows and outflows.
The inflows coincided with Bitcoin recapturing $63,835, a 3.6% weekly gain. However, the broader pattern suggests institutional profit-taking, as investors who entered spot Bitcoin ETFs during late 2024 and early 2025 appear to have trimmed positions in mid-2026.
The concentration of flows in IBIT and FBTC means their daily numbers serve as a sentiment gauge for institutional Bitcoin interest. The $60,000 level has acted as a psychological floor for much of 2026, and the timing of these inflows suggests institutions view sub-$60K prices as a buying opportunity.
