Bitcoin ETFs Soar as $458.2M Flows In Amid Global Uncertainty
U.S. spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) saw a significant influx of capital on Monday, with $458.2 million flowing into the market. BlackRock's IBIT led the charge, attracting $263.2 million in net inflows. This trend extends from last week, when Bitcoin ETF products collectively logged $787 million in weekly inflows, ending five straight weeks of negative flows. The shift in sentiment follows a difficult start to the year, with combined net outflows in January and February exceeding $1.8 billion.
Nick Ruck, director of LVRG Research, attributed the renewed inflows to institutions re-entering the market at prices they consider attractive after the recent drawdown. BTC Markets' crypto analyst Rachael Lucas noted a clear divergence between institutional and retail behavior, suggesting 'coordinated buying' by large allocators.
The inflow trend extended beyond Bitcoin, with spot Ethereum funds posting a daily net inflow of $38.7 million, Solana ETFs attracting $17.4 million, and XRP ETFs seeing roughly $7 million. Andri Fauzan Adziima, research lead at Bitrue, said institutions view Bitcoin as a maturing diversifier and hedge against global uncertainty.
