US spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) experienced their strongest quarter of 2026, attracting $6.34 billion in net inflows during the third quarter.
This marks a significant turnaround from the second quarter, when these funds recorded about $5 billion in net outflows.
The surge in demand for Bitcoin ETFs coincided with a 42.71% gain in Bitcoin's price during the same period, its strongest quarterly performance since Q4 2024 and best third-quarter performance since 2017.
In contrast, September's inflows ended on a weaker note, with Bitcoin ETFs recording roughly $149 million in net outflows on Wednesday, snapping a nine-day inflow streak that attracted about $3.1 billion.
