Bitcoin ETFs Stage Remarkable Comeback from $5.8 Billion Deficit
Bitcoin ETFs have made a remarkable comeback after facing significant outflows earlier this year. The funds now hold nearly $800 million in net inflows for the year, erasing a deficit that reached $5.8 billion on July 13. This reversal is attributed to Bitcoin's price increase from below $58,000 in early June to over $85,000.
The six-day streak of positive trading sessions has contributed significantly to this recovery. During this period, funds collected approximately $2.84 billion, with the latest session bringing another $190.7 million into Bitcoin ETFs on Sept. 24. BlackRock's IBIT led the latest session with $162.6 million in inflows.
While this development is encouraging for bulls, annual flows remain far behind the levels recorded in 2024 and 2025. In 2024, Bitcoin ETFs generated $35.2 billion in net inflows, and in 2025, they recorded another $21.4 billion. Despite this, the recent recovery has given the funds a clearer financial foundation after months of heavy outflows.
