Bitcoin ETFs Surge as SEC Eyes Crypto Custody
The US crypto market has been abuzz with news of regulatory changes and renewed optimism around Bitcoin's next major move. California Governor Gavin Newsom has accused President Donald Trump of selling access to the White House, citing a recent dinner invitation for top holders of the Official Trump token.
Meanwhile, U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs have seen a significant reversal in fortunes, attracting $6.34 billion in net inflows during the third quarter. This marks a sharp turnaround from the second quarter's $5 billion outflows, as Bitcoin gained 42.7% for the quarter.
The SEC has also taken steps to establish a regulatory framework for cryptocurrency custody, with Chairman Paul Atkins highlighting the need for greater oversight of this rapidly growing market.
