Bitcoin ETFs Surge as U.S. Spot Funds Flip Back to Positive Flows
U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs have experienced a significant turnaround in investor demand this year. After being approximately $5.8 billion underwater in July, the funds have now moved back into positive net flows for 2026.
The latest data shows that around $800 million of net inflows has been recorded so far this year, erasing a deficit that had reached its lowest point in July. This marks a swing of more than $6 billion from the low point.
The recent six-day streak of consecutive inflow sessions has seen approximately $2.84 billion enter the products, with some strong sessions producing substantial daily totals. For example, on September 24 alone, around $190.7 million in net inflows was recorded, led by BlackRock's IBIT.
While this year's annual net inflows of around $800 million is modest compared to previous years, such as the $35.2 billion attracted in 2024 and $21.4 billion in 2025, it suggests that institutional demand has returned at a time when Bitcoin itself has recovered from its mid-June low.
