Bitcoin ETFs Swing into Bull Market, Pushing Price Above $86K
The US spot Bitcoin ETFs have seen a significant reversal in fortunes, attracting $4.6 billion since August 19 and erasing their 2026 outflows. This influx of capital has helped push Bitcoin's price above $86,000, breaking the $80,000 barrier that it had been struggling to breach for months.
The rebound in ETF demand has also lifted the broader crypto market back above $3 trillion, with many industry analysts viewing this as a sign of renewed institutional support. The average cost basis of Bitcoin held through US spot ETFs is now around $82,000, and with the current price sitting at $83,000, investors in these funds are once again holding onto unrealized gains.
The shift in market dynamics could potentially change the way investors view the $80,000 to $85,000 zone. Instead of being a region where underwater holders are waiting to exit their positions, it may now act as a support area backed by new ETF demand.
