Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana Top Picks for 10-Year Crypto Investments
Bitcoin is likely to remain relevant for the next decade, according to experts. The cryptocurrency's scarcity, driven by its limited supply, will continue to make it valuable. In the next 10 years, there will be three halvings, reducing the daily issuance of new Bitcoin by half, making the coin even more scarce and valuable.
Ethereum's planned upgrades, such as Glamsterdam, are expected to improve the network's scalability and ability to handle tokenized assets. The network currently hosts 43% of tokenized assets, with $16.6 billion in value, and is poised to become a central player in the future of cryptocurrency if tokenization becomes a multitrillion-dollar market by 2030.
Solana is also improving its speed and adjusting its supply. The new consensus system, Alpenglow, will reduce the time until a payment is irreversible to 0.15 seconds, making Solana the fastest major blockchain. The supply of Solana will also tighten due to governance actions, which is bullish for the coin.
The recommended investment strategy is to allocate 60% of the portfolio to Bitcoin, 20% to Ethereum, and 20% to Solana. Bitcoin's scarcity and stability make it the most likely to survive radical changes to the world, while Ethereum and Solana are leaders in the crypto sector but have major issues that could impair their competitiveness.
