Bitcoin Exchange Reserves Rebound Amid ETF Demand Concerns
Bitcoin exchange reserves have rebounded to their highest level since mid-June, signaling a shift in market dynamics that could ease concerns over supply shortages tied to spot ETF demand.
According to Santiment's on-chain analytics platform, the amount of Bitcoin held on exchanges has recovered roughly 84% of the drop observed between mid-June and late July. The rebound is significant, as exchange-held Bitcoin fell by approximately 33,000 BTC, or 2.5%, from around 1.337 million BTC on June 12 to about 1.304 million BTC on July 28.
This resurgence suggests that the intense supply strain observed during the summer months may be moderating. The initial decline in exchange reserves had fueled speculation that a supply squeeze could push prices higher, but the recent recovery indicates that market participants are either moving Bitcoin back to exchanges or new demand is being absorbed through alternative channels.
