Bitcoin Exchange Supply Contracts at Accelerating Pace Amid $83,000 Price
Bitcoin's exchange supply is contracting at an accelerating pace as its price hovers near $83,000. According to CryptoQuant analyst Axel Adler Jr., the average daily net outflow from exchanges over the past seven days reached 16,100 BTC as of September 27.
This marks the fastest pace since October 2025 and indicates a decrease in exchange supply. However, the derivatives market remains cautious with the 30-day moving average of the Bitcoin position index holding below zero for six consecutive days.
The indicator suggests that longs do not hold a dominant advantage in the perpetual contract market. Currently, spot supply outflows and weak buying momentum in the futures market show diverging trends.
