Bitcoin Faces $68,300 Make-or-Break Moment
Bitcoin's price has been hovering near a crucial level that could determine whether its recent sell-off is just a mid-cycle correction or a prolonged bear market.
The cryptocurrency's weekly close is crucial as it approaches the 200-week exponential moving average (EMA), currently at around $68,300. A close below this level could trigger 'bearish acceleration,' leading to steeper price declines, according to analyst Rekt Capital.
Last week's drop below $60,000 broke through both the 200-week EMA and the 200-week simple moving average, though the weekly candle recovered.
However, not all indicators point to further losses. Bitcoin's Mayer Multiple - the ratio of price to the 200-day moving average - has dropped to approximately 0.6, which some consider a historically strong buy signal.
