Ethereum Buyers Regain Ground as Taker Buy-Sell Ratio Surpasses Key Threshold
The Ethereum market is showing signs of regaining momentum as buyers are overpowering sellers in the short term. The Taker Buy-Sell Ratio on Binance has climbed back above the critical 1 threshold, reaching approximately 1.11. This indicates that buyers are currently acting more aggressively than sellers.
Arab Chain, a CryptoQuant contributor, highlighted this development and noted that a reading above 1 is a positive sign for Ethereum's price momentum. However, he cautioned that the real test lies ahead: whether the ratio can hold above 1 in the coming days.
The bullish case for Ethereum is further supported by exchange balances. Over a 48-hour window, more than 116,000 ETH was withdrawn from crypto exchanges, representing roughly $300 million in value at current prices. This suggests that investors are moving assets off exchanges and into external wallets, indicating an intent to hold rather than sell.
Institutional demand for Ethereum is also increasing, with spot exchange-traded funds (ETFs) pulling in approximately $215.3 million in net inflows across five trading sessions between Aug. 31 and Sept. 4.
