Bitcoin Faces Crucial Test at $82,000 as Institutional Inflows Surge
Bitcoin's price has been testing the $82,000 resistance level as institutional inflows from US spot ETFs continue to surge. According to CryptoRus, a crypto analysis platform, this week is a crucial test for Bitcoin to break above $82,000 and confirm its bullish momentum.
The recent influx of funds into these ETFs has been significant, with a reported $730.9 million flowing in on one day last week, just shy of the record $843.6 million seen on January 14. However, as CryptoRus notes, this alone is not enough to guarantee a clean break above the resistance level.
Three key signals are being tracked by CryptoRus: the ETF demand itself, a leverage reset with significant liquidations, and the performance of Zcash, which has skyrocketed from around $40 to over $1,200 in just a year. The latter is seen as an indicator of speculative capital concentrating on scarcity narratives.
While Bitcoin's price remains above $79,000, a four-hour close above $82,000 followed by a successful retest would provide stronger confirmation of the breakout. Losing $79,000, however, would weaken the immediate bullish case and put the liquidity area around $78,000 back in focus.
