Bitcoin Faces Looming Miner Margin Squeeze as Difficulty Adjustment Approaches
Bitcoin's recent price recovery coincided with an improvement in mining revenue, but the network is now facing a looming miner margin squeeze.
The next difficulty adjustment, expected around September 19, will increase the work required to mine Bitcoin by 4.6976% if it happens at the estimated 133.44 trillion level.
According to CryptoRank, Bitcoin would need to reach approximately $82,877 (or roughly $82,900) to offset this difficulty increase in dollar hashprice and maintain current revenue levels.
The network's estimates suggest that hashrate is above 900 exahashes per second, but the exact level of hashrate is not interchangeable with hashprice.
