Crypto markets presented a mixed picture on Friday evening, September 25, 2026. While Bitcoin and Ethereum struggled to gain momentum, several altcoins managed to push higher.

Bitcoin fell by 0.65% to $83,831.42, weighed down by modest selling pressure during the session. Ethereum inched lower by 0.25% to $2,680.61, while BNB also declined by 0.48% to close at $772.75.

The standout performer among major coins was Solana, which surged 3.40% to $120.99. Other altcoins such as Avalanche climbed 2.56% to $10.45 and Dogecoin rose 2.04% to $0.10.

The divergence between Bitcoin's decline and the strength seen in several altcoins suggests renewed appetite for risk further down the market cap ladder, even as the flagship cryptocurrency struggled to find upward momentum heading into the weekend.
