Bitcoin Flirts with $84K but Market Signals Remain Mixed
Bitcoin is trading near $84,000 after rising from $76,500 just a week ago. However, a widely followed market model suggests that this surge may not be driven by conviction. According to Axel Adler Jr, the Bitcoin Regime Score briefly touched Strong Bull territory twice this week, hitting +52 on September 19 and +64 on September 22 before dropping back near zero both times.
The confidence in this score has weakened significantly, falling from 50% to 22% over the past 24 hours. This reading is close to its monthly low of 19%, indicating that bullish and bearish signals are roughly canceling each other out, rather than signaling calmness in the market.
Bitcoin remains 3.7% below its monthly high of $87,200, with no clear directional signal currently in place. This ambiguity may lead investors to be cautious as they try to make sense of the market's mixed signals.
