Bitcoin Forecast Drops to $75,000 Amid Economic Uncertainty

Bitcoin's price has been highly volatile in recent months, reaching as high as $92,000 and falling to $57,700. A surge in interest in Bitcoin pushed its price higher, but prediction markets on Kalshi believe it will end the year at around $75,000.

This estimate is based on the average prediction of bettors on Kalshi and is significantly lower than some more bullish estimates from Standard Chartered and Bernstein, which forecast a year-end price of $100,000 and $125,000 or higher, respectively.

The recent surge in interest in Bitcoin was driven by investors seeking safe havens amid economic uncertainty. The U.S. Treasury Department's decision to increase its purchases of long-term government bonds contributed to rising inflation concerns and a subsequent rush back towards gold and Bitcoin.
