Bitcoin Futures Buying Pressure Hits New High, Key Price Levels in Focus
Bitcoin's buying pressure in the futures market has surged to its highest level since August, with open interest also rising quickly. This indicates that market participants are building positions again, a trend that could be a sign of a further price increase. On October 2, on-chain analyst Axel Adler Jr. noted that Bitcoin's Positioning Pressure indicator had risen to 4.9, the highest reading in 90 days since August 19.
The open interest in Bitcoin futures has increased by more than 15,000 contracts compared to September 30, with a 3% rise over the past 24 hours. This could be a sign that investors are becoming more bullish on the cryptocurrency. However, it's essential to note that rising open interest does not necessarily lead to further price gains.
Adler Jr. identified $85,000 and $83,000 as key price levels, with holding above $85,000 potentially signaling that Bitcoin is preserving its recent gains. However, long positions opened above $83,000 could face larger losses if the price falls below that level, potentially leading to a steeper decline.
