Bitcoin Futures Demand Turns Negative Amid Weak Market Activity
The demand for Bitcoin futures has turned negative again, indicating renewed weakness in the derivatives market. According to data from CryptoQuant, this shift occurred on August 14, after having remained positive for a period of time. The decline suggests that traders are becoming less willing to increase their exposure to Bitcoin due to uncertain market conditions.
As a result, total Bitcoin demand has also turned negative, combining both futures and spot demand. This indicates that buying interest across both markets remains insufficient to support price recovery anytime soon.
The latest reversal raises concerns about Bitcoin's ability to maintain positive momentum without an external catalyst. Spot Bitcoin demand is still negative, but at a relatively stable level, which could offer some reassurance.
