Bitcoin futures traders took home $4.1 billion in profits over the past week as the price of BTC hovered around $83,362.

The largest weekly drop in open interest since October 2025 saw about 49,000 BTC worth of positions closed out, according to K33 Research.

K33 attributed this drop to profit-taking and expiring CME contracts, with little leverage left to unwind. They see more room for the price to rise than fall.

Long-term holders' coins cluster around $84,000 to $85,000, a level Bitcoin needs to clear and hold above for the rally to continue, according to Glassnode.
