Bitcoin Gets Boost Despite Rate Hike Risks
Tiger Securities has upgraded its outlook on Bitcoin despite potential Federal Reserve rate hikes. The firm maintains a buy rating on the cryptocurrency, which currently trades at $34.87 after falling 38% from its 52-week high of $55.96.
The platform's Financial Health score rates Bitcoin as 'EXCELLENT', with strong returns over the last three months.
Tiger Securities warns that two or three 25 basis point rate increases could weigh on Bitcoin if they lift real yields and tighten liquidity, but notes that stronger productivity could support risk appetite and mitigate the impact of tightening.
The firm points to public debt standing near 100% of GDP and net interest spending projected at 3.3% of GDP by fiscal year 2026 as a significant concern for Bitcoin's monetary premium.
