Bitcoin Halted at Critical Level as Analysts Set Conditions for Further Gains
Bitcoin's recent price surge has been halted at a critical level, according to CryptoQuant analysts. The cryptocurrency briefly exceeded $82,000 after rallying from under $65,000 in just a few weeks.
The analysts believe the setup remains constructive for Bitcoin, but it needs to overcome several technical and on-chain resistance levels before making further progress.
One key level is the 365-day moving average at $81,700. Historically, bull markets have begun once Bitcoin closes above this level. A successful close above would confirm a new bullish phase and potentially lead to another significant price increase.
However, if Bitcoin fails to break through this level, it may enter a longer consolidation period or even experience a more profound decline.
The 3x Metcalfe valuation band at $83,600 is the next major resistance level. This level previously halted Bitcoin's progress in May and has coincided with significant cycle turning points.
Another key hurdle is the trader realized-price upper band at $88,700. History shows that selling intensifies when the cryptocurrency approaches this line due to active traders sitting on large unrealized profits.
