Bitcoin Heads for Best Q3 Performance Since 2012
Bitcoin's third quarter performance is on track to be its best in over a decade. The cryptocurrency has rallied 38.90% between July and September, according to data from Bitbo.
This marks only the fourth time Bitcoin has returned more than 40% in the third quarter since its inception. In 2012, it surged 87.14%, followed by 79.8% in 2017 and 49.4% in 2013.
The recent rally began in late August when Bitcoin reclaimed $80,000 for the first time since mid-May. This coincided with renewed interest in the cryptocurrency as falling bond yields and a weaker dollar outweighed the CLARITY Act's failure.
