A brutal Bitcoin robbery turned deadly in Kyiv, Ukraine, when four suspects aged 24 to 29 allegedly attacked and murdered a 29-year-old foreign crypto enthusiast.

The victim was beaten by several men who then forced him into a car at midnight on July 29. They took him to an abandoned building where he was made to transfer about 7 million Ukrainian hryvnias in Bitcoin, equivalent to roughly 2.55 BTC or $170,000.

After getting the cryptocurrency, the attackers strangled the man and buried his body in a forest. The police claim the suspects attempted to cover their tracks by changing the car's appearance and plates.

The suspects were eventually caught with stacks of dollars and euros, indicating they had converted the stolen Bitcoin into cash.
