Bitcoin Hits Three-Month Peak, Sends Crypto Stocks Soaring
Crypto stocks experienced a surge on Thursday as Bitcoin climbed to its highest level in three months. The world's largest cryptocurrency, Bitcoin, increased by 4.8% to $81,105.73.
The rally in Bitcoin was attributed to the recent urging of U.S. President Donald Trump for Congress to pass a crypto bill and support from the Treasury Department's move to back long-dated bonds.
Crypto exchange Coinbase Global rose by 10.6%, while bitcoin-focused company Strategy gained 15%. Trading platform Robinhood Markets jumped 16.3% and Webull added 12%.
Cryptocurrency mining companies also posted gains, with Riot Platforms climbing 11.4%, Mara Holdings rising 10%, and Bit Digital increasing 15.8%.
