Bitcoin Holds Above $80,000 Amid Market Volatility
Bitcoin's price held steady above $80,000 on September 20 as the cryptocurrency market continued to watch its movements closely. After a strong weekly recovery, BTC remained stable despite a modest 24-hour decline of 0.97%. The latest data showed that Bitcoin's market capitalization stood at around $1.61 trillion, with its market dominance close to 58.9% of the total cryptocurrency market.
The US dollar price of Bitcoin was around $80,395.49 on September 20, according to CryptoSlate data. In other fiat currencies, Bitcoin's value ranged from approximately £60,248 in pounds to ¥12.69 million in yen.
Market participants are monitoring regulatory developments, interest-rate expectations, and broader risk sentiment, which have been affecting cryptocurrency sentiment. The US Senate's failure to advance the Clarity Act earlier in the week triggered a sharp sell-off across Bitcoin and other crypto assets, but it has since recovered above $80,000.
