Bitcoin Holds Above $80K as Institutional Interest Shifts

Bitcoin has managed to hold its ground above $80,000 despite strong US payroll data that increased the likelihood of Federal Reserve rate hikes. August payrolls exceeded expectations, pushing September rate hike odds near 60%. The news may seem negative for crypto markets, but it's actually a sign of growing institutional interest.

Last week, Bitcoin ETFs saw nearly $1 billion in inflows, with Ethereum ETFs gaining $215 million. This shift suggests that investors are rotating their capital from equities and gold into cryptocurrencies, indicating a potentially new cycle for crypto markets.

Bitcoin's current drawdown is less severe than past corrections due to ETF participation. In contrast, XRP ETFs attracted $1.55 million in net inflows on September 8, while Bitcoin ETFs experienced the largest withdrawals at about $46.65 million.
