Bitcoin Holds Above $84,000 Ahead of Fed Minutes Release
Bitcoin (BTC) maintained its position above $84,000 early Tuesday, with traders closely monitoring this key level ahead of the release of the Federal Reserve’s meeting minutes. The minutes from the Fed’s September 15-16 meeting are scheduled for release on Wednesday, October 7, at 2 p.m. ET (18:00 UTC).
BTC experienced a slight decline of 0.2% over 24 hours, briefly reaching $85,200 before European trading began. On Monday, Bitcoin surged above $87,000 before encountering selling pressure for the third time since September 23.
A drop below $84,000 could challenge Bitcoin’s recent pattern of higher lows. A further decline beneath the recent low near $83,000 would reinforce this shift, potentially bringing $80,000 into focus. However, as of Tuesday morning, Bitcoin remained above $84,000.
The Federal Reserve minutes are highly anticipated, as traders seek insights into the central bank’s future monetary policy decisions.
